Making comments on an application
Remember to make it clear if you are supporting or objecting to the application by putting "I object to this application" or "I support this application" clearly at the top of your comments. For other advice click here...
You can do this is one of four ways:
(i) In writing (ii) Online by filling in a form (iii) By sending an email (probably the easiest!) (iv) In Person
(i) Commenting in writing
Send you comments to the following address or drop off your letter at the office
Address: South Gloucestershire Council, Attn: Marie Bath Planning, P.O. Box 2081, Bristol. BS35 9BP.
(ii) Online by filling in a form
1. Go to the 'Search planning applications' page by clicking on the link below http://www.southglos.gov.uk/NR/exeres/c50fc65c-5a2a-4e94-85d2-9e0533938195
You should read the Terms and Conditions and then click on
at the bottom of the page.
2. Enter the application number: PK10/3380/O (tip: you can copy/paste this number for here)
3. Click on the 'Comment on the Planning Application' link (see image below)
This will bring up a form
4. Complete the form, ensuring that you include your name and address to enable SGC to notify you of the outcome in writing once a decision is reached.
Tip: Draft up your comments before you go online in a word processing document ('Word' for example). It is much easier to develop ideas, review and change it this way and you will also have a copy of what you send.
Now copy and Paste your comments into the form and submit it
(iii) By sending an email
SGC advise you to "attach" your document to the email to avoid displaying your email address. If this is not a worry then you can copy and paste your comments into the body of the email.
Draft your comments in Microsoft Word (you can use other word processing software but it might not be readable by SGC so if you do it is a good idea to convert it to a PDF before sending. If this is gobbledegook to you then use the online form).
Send an email to: PlanningApplications@southglos.gov.uk
Sugested subject: Comments on Planning Application PK10/3380/O
Attach your document and send it.
(iv) In Person
According to SGC you can view or comment on planning applications at one of our one-stop shops receptions, where a customer care officer will be happy to help. Application details will be viewed via the Council’s website
