Give your home an MOT and lower your energy bills

South Gloucestershire Council are working in partnership with the Seven Wye Energy Agency, a charity that provides residents with free, impartial and local energy advice and assistance for energy improvements.

Whether you’re a homeowner or renting, giving your home an MOT with a Green Deal Assessment we can help you improve your home and save money on energy bills. Severn Wye’s qualified assessors will look at ways that your home could save energy, cut down on your energy expenditure and see whether your home might be suitable for a particular renewable energy technology.

Through the Warm and Well scheme certain eligible clients may be able to receive a free Green Deal Assessment and financial support for loft and cavity wall insulation. If you are in receipt of certain benefits, over 60 or have children under the age of 20, you may qualify.

If you are not eligible for a grant, or are considering other improvements to your home such as renewable technologies, solid wall insulation or a new heating system, our advisors can help you find a local installer through our Link to Energy Network. Finance for these measures may also be available through the South Gloucestershire Home Energy loan.
