Pucklechurch Gardeners' Club has been running successfully for 40 years, meeting every first Wednesday in the month from October, November and December, then February, March, April and May.
Meetings are held in the Community Centre, Abson Rd (BS16 9RH) at 8.00pm, and light refreshments are available. Visitors are welcome to come along for up to 2 meetings at 50p each time, then if you decide to join our club, subscriptions are currently £10.00 per annum, payable at the AGM.
We have a monthly fun competition, and the person with most points throughout the year is awarded the ' Frank Bradley Trophy'. The trophy is in memory of our founder member, President & Treasurer.
The annual subscription includes the Christmas Supper, as well as a Summer Supper held in a different garden every year by a willing member.
Each month we have quality guest speakers talking on a variety of topics to help you with planning your garden, and what to plant throughout the year.
In May the club holds the Annual General Meeting when the new committee is voted on, and new members are always welcome to join us. December we invite our members, plus a guest to a Christmas Supper & quiz evening.
In late June or early July we organise a day coach trip to visit a garden, and every other year a 2 night Hotel stay, which enables us visit a variety of gardens further away.
