St Thomas a Becket invites everyone, families, single folks, young and not so young alike to its informal service on the first Sunday in the month; Café Church.

Café church aims to provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere and space in busy lives to consider some Christian teachings in a modern approach to Church.

Café church is a chance to come into church at 10 am on Sunday morning, enjoy coffee, tea and cakes/croissants, watch a short video on a Christian theme and worship through two or three hymns. Expect a warm welcome, relaxed service and time to talk, discuss the video, move around and meet with friends or make new ones.

There is a free choice children's activity in one area of the church, some toys for babies/toddlers and we hope that teenagers will want to join their families in watching the video and joining in the chat afterwards - and of course, eating more cakes! There is always a DBS checked adult available to help your children if you prefer to watch the video and worship. Some of these adults you will already know from school – such as Mrs Stone, Mrs Gardner and Mrs Russell (we’re not always there but often are!)
