  St. Thomas à Becket
    Youth Group

Church Youth Group

St Thomas a Becket church offers a church youth group on occasional weekends throughout the year. It offers fun and games at the vicarage on Westerleigh Road to children age 10 – 18 (this is the age range of children who currently attend). We have met for bonfire night, pancake day, summer and Christmas parties and more.

Youth Church

We offer age related Christian teaching to children aged 10 – 18 approximately 2 Sundays a month throughout the year except in August. Children come to church at 10am, attend the first part of the service (approx. first 5 mins) and then go to the Church Room (Tower Playgroup room) for teaching about our faith. All adults running the Youth Church are DBS checked and are used to working with this age group. We chat about things that are important to us, read the Bible and think about how it might be relevant today, discuss issues, pray, play games, prepare for special services in church and sometimes get a treat in the form of chocolate! We look forward to seeing you there.

For details of dates or to enquire further, please email Julie Gardner at julie@juliegardner.co.uk or ring her on 0117 3706514.

Junior Church

Currently, we do not offer a junior church for children under 10 years old. This is because all our children are over 10 years at the moment! If you would like to see this provision made at St Thomas a Becket, please contact Julie Gardner and let her know and we’ll see what we can do about it!

However, all children of any age are extremely welcome in church services. There is a carpeted area to the side of church with tables and chairs, books, games and toys for young children and we have pens and pencils and other activities to make your children feel welcome if they do not want to sit still throughout a service. We don’t mind noise or walking about – that’s official   We look forward to seeing you at Church. Thank you for your interest.
