                       Sure Start

South Gloucestershire's mobile Sure start stay and play center is now open for all parents and carers with children from 0 to age 5.mobile

Stay and play is a chance to play and learn together in a safe environment. Please note the new venue and time from 4th November is Thursday’s from 1.00 to 3.00pm in the Community Centre (Village Hall).

Stay & Play is:


A play session for children from 0-5 and their parents/carers

  • An opportunity for parents/carers to support their child’s learning and development  by playing alongside their child
  • A session which provides a variety of play opportunities that contribute to and enhance  the learning, life and education of children
  • An opportunity for parents & carers to track their child’s development
  • An opportunity for parents and carers  to ask for information, advice and support around their child's learning and development and parenting
  • A session which helps to establish routines for children
  • A safe place to play
  • Planned in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage or EYFS. This is a national curriculum used to plan for children's learning and development in early years settings and in first year of school
  • An opportunity to ask for information about going back to work or getting into training or education
