Dear Editors,
I am writing in concern of the blocking off of the Oaktree Avenue underpass. Night after night I am subjected to what can only be called unsociable behaviour. The underpass seems to be a magnet for Pucklechurch teenagers who run riot. I am woken up nearly every Saturday night by shouting, swearing, and motorcycles riding on paths. Only the other night there was a firework display, and it’s not even November yet.
There seem to be no parents or police in Pucklechurch to keep these teenagers in order. I would like these children’s parents to live with the constant noise and disturbance I experience. There is a need for some kind of Youth Centre in Pucklechurch to keep these young people occupied.

Dear Editors,
I would like to say thank you to the person who brought back the bag of bulbs picked up at the Produce Show.

Dear Editors,
Running to the bosses is as old as the hills… and yet we have a classic example of this petty deed here in Pucklechurch. A few months ago some person or persons unknown wrote a letter to the Bath Bus Company, and on receipt of that letter the company immediately instructed their drivers NOT to unload elderly passengers off at The Poplars in Shortwood Road.
This has not only deprived these old folk of a privilege they have enjoyed for years, but has created a hardship for them. They now have to carry their heavy bags of groceries, purchased in Yate, from the bus stop in Abson Road all the way up to The Poplars. To some of these old people, this is quite an ordeal.
To the poison-pen letter writers, skulking under the silent cloak of anonymity, I hope you are satisfied that you have achieved your aim.
Bill Dalziel, Resident at The Poplars
Dear Editors,
Thank you to everyone who responded to my request for jam jars in the last issue of Pucklechurch News. Please keep them coming.
