Dear Editor,
We received the Pucklechurch News today (14th Dec), which we read cover to cover. There are two articles which required a response or attendance, but as the newsletter only arrived today we have missed the deadlines: Village Hall makeover (replies required by the 15th December) and volunteers wanted to help clean up around the Community Centre (Wednesday, 3rd December).
To keep community spirit alive and well and for more villagers to get involved with projects, this newsletter needs to be delivered in time for people in the village to volunteer and help. I look forward to your reply.

Dear Chris,
Thank you for your message. The team are aware that the December issue went out later than usual, and we're sorry about that. The Pucklechurch News is written, edited, formatted, collated, and delivered entirely by volunteers. We make no guarantees about timing, but we do our best to get it out early in the designated month. We had several problems with the December issue, including a last-minute addition, printing problems, and our own hectic holiday schedules. As people who donate many hours of our time to creating and delivering each issue, we take exception to the accusation that our efforts have a negative impact on community spirit!
The deadline for comments on the Village Hall makeover was extended to the 29th December because of the delay, and it said that on the insert that came with your newsletter. As for the Village Hall clean-up, that was always going to be a close call because it happened so early in December. Our many delivery volunteers do their best, but they too are busy people, especially around the holidays. If you or anyone else out there would like to help lighten the load by volunteering, please contact us!
