1st Pucklechurch Scout Group
The 1st Pucklechurch Scout Group was formed in 1957. It is part of the South Cotswold Scout District and the Avon Scout County. The Group is a registered charity.
The Group consists of three sections, a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack and a Scout Troop. An Explorer Scout Troop, administered by the Scout District, also meets at our Scout Hut. Since June 2002, the Group has been of mixed sex, and girls are now allowed to join any of the sections.
The work of the Group is overseen by an Executive Committee. Their role, amongst others, is to fund-raise for the Group and organise the maintenance and repair of the Scout Hut, and also to support the section leaders where possible. We are currently in the process of upgrading the kitchen and toilets in the Hut, having replaced the roof in 2001 and repainted the interior of the hall and repaired the floor earlier this year.
We are looking for of volunteers who would be willing to help keep the Group running. For more information click here.
