This site features the online version of the Pucklechurch News, a quarterly newsletter funded by the parish council and delivered free to all households in the area.

Wednesday, 25th February: Ash Wednesday services.  10:30am in the Homefield Centre and 8.00pm in St. Thomas à Becket church.

Friday, 27th February: Live music with Rodney Allen (ex Blue Airplanes) playing covers and original material. Rose & Crown from 9.00pm.

Saturday, 28th February: Race night, all welcome, no admission charge, filled rolls available. Organised by the Twinning Association. 7.30pm at the Social Club in the Village Hall.

Wednesday, 4th March: Gardeners’ Club - Practical Propagation - Visitors welcome (£1 entry).  In the Village Hall at 8.00pm.

Wednesday, 4th March: Community Plan Steering Group meets in the Village Hall meeting room at 8.00pm.

It was the most snow since the winter of ‘81/’82, but how does it compare? This is a photo of the Feltham Rd/Abson Road junction on 6th January 2009, where several vehicles got into trouble. Click on the photo to see others photos submitted by villagers.

Have you seen the display put on by starlings over Pucklechurch each evening?  Two videos have been posted on YouTube if you’ve missed them.  The first video shows the starlings from a closer position
The second video is shot from a distance and shows the splendor of the flock as it swarms before settling for the night.

Update on the Regional Spatial Strategy: Many people have been concerned about the consultation process. The Save Our Green Spaces Campaign Group have produced their own consultation form, specifically on the future of the greenbelt around Bristol, to give you the opportunity to express your views on how you would like to see it used.
